I look forward to each new season—it’s like an upcoming holiday. There’s a certain amount of anticipation—and excitement. I can’t wait to see what each designer has to say. I take it all in, create my point of view, and then go off on the search for those perfect pieces.
I don’t chase labels. I like mixing couture with newer, young designers—mixing it up and making it work. That’s so satisfying.
I like simple designs and clean lines. And let’s not forget proportion and fit. I find I gravitate toward beautiful fabrics, whether it’s the softest cashmere, a beaded something, or a print that just sings.
Each season we get going on the must-haves. We buy what we love. The process unfolds—we bring in the new, we let go of the old, and that’s when the magic happens.
